Frequently asked questions.

What qualification do I need for an AITSL assessment?

You need at least 4 years of higher education including a recognised teaching qualification. This can be a 4-year teaching degree, or a 3-year bachelor degree plus a 1-year Graduate Diploma in Education.

Does AITSL assess my teaching subjects?

Yes, for secondary teachers, AITSL assesses your subject specialisations based on your academic transcript. You need to demonstrate adequate study in at least one teaching area for secondary school assessment.
