Age is both an eligibility requirement and a points factor for Australian skilled migration.

Age points

  • 18-24 years: 25 points
  • 25-32 years: 30 points (maximum)
  • 33-39 years: 25 points
  • 40-44 years: 15 points
  • 45+: 0 points

Age limit

You must be under 45 at the time of invitation for the 189, 190, and 491 visas.

Over 45 options

Employer-sponsored visas like the 482 do not have a strict age cap. Some state nomination programs also offer exemptions.
